Keeping Your Club/Society Active
Training
We want all Club/Society committee members to have a fantastic time in their roles, and feel comfortable and supported doing so. To make sure this is the case, the Students' Union runs training sessions through the year to give you a full introduction to everything you need to know to be a great committee member - including how to manage your finances!
Training takes about an hour and a half, and you only need to come to one session.
Training is really important, so we monitor attendance and we require at least two committee members from every Club and Society to attend every academic year. If you're a member of more than one committee, your attendance will count towards the requirement for every Club or Society you're involved with.
If your Club/Society fails to meet its training requirement, you will be placed under temporary suspension. This basically 'freezes' your Club/Society until training is complete.
