Perks

Future Ready

  • Future Ready (formally Degree Plus) was introduced in October 2008 to provide Queen's students with a vehicle for accrediting learning and skills developed through extracurricular activities. The award is open to all full-time and part-time undergraduate, and postgraduate taught students, and you will receive the award alongside your degree when you graduate. The Future Ready award is free, although some of the qualifying courses do charge their own small fee.

  •  Employers are looking for graduates who can demonstrate that they have the skills needed for workplace success – the Future Ready award will help you do this. Many activities you participate in may be allowing you to acquire important employability skills such as teamwork, leadership, communication and commercial awareness. Whether you serve as a Club / Society Committee member, Course Rep, have a part-time job or are engaged in voluntary work, the Future Ready award allows these skills to be formally recognised.

  •  The deadline for Combined Experience Future Ready Accreditation is 1st April of the year you graduate or 1st October if graduating in December. You must contact the Clubs and Societies team well in advance of your deadline so that we can provide you with the evidence needed. Do not leave this until the last minute as we may have enough time to produce your evidence.
